About Project Pehchaan
Project Pehchaan is a student-led community initiative that aims to help socio-economically disadvantaged women establish their identity "Pehchaan".
It is intended to be a platform that grants them financial and social independence, and mobility to take control of their lives. The project invests in the up-skilling of these women to become driver partners in the growing ride-share industry. It empowers them, better providing for themselves and their families, through a dignified job alongside learning a valuable, liberating skill.

Project Pehchaan identifies prospective women and educates them about the opportunity and the associated asks and challenges. It works with interested women right from the process of enrolling them in driving schools, to getting their drivers’ licenses made, until they become salaried registered driver-partners.
